Welcome to Wollett Mill Pond, where the legacy of our family's agricultural heritage comes to life in a beautiful, rustic space designed to create long-lasting memories for the whole family.

Our story begins generations ago in our neighboring Halifax county, where our family of farmers owned and operated a gristmill in the early 1900s. This water-powered mill, situated on and powered by Little Fishing Creek, was used to grind cornmeal and wheat into flour for baking and cooking. As the story goes, the mill was rebuilt twice before a final catastrophic flood caused The Mill to be shutdown.

In honor of this history, we chose to capture a piece of our family legacy in the naming of Wollett Mill Pond. We strive to provide a family gathering place that captures and reimagines our agricultural heritage, making it into something new and exciting for others to enjoy.
